Soccer Camp

The Bedell Family YMCA and the Iowa Lakes Community College teamed up this past week to give children from the Iowa Great Lakes Area an enjoyable three day soccer camp. Special guests, Coach Kevin Farley along with the ILCC coaching staff, and twenty-eight members of the men’s and women’s ILCC soccer teams provided a fun and informative experience for the thirty-two kids involved. The Iowa Lakes program is in their first year of competition for the men’s soccer program and will begin competition next year for the women’s program. The kids were able to participate in daily competitions such as Jersey Day, Crazy Sock Day, and Decorate Your Ball Day. Winners of all the competitions received Iowa Lakes soccer gear. To keep the kids thinking about soccer when they went home, Coach Farley had a Question of the Day for the kids to look up with their parents. All participants received a camp T-shirt and soccer ball while attending.
