Girl's Basketball Tournament

YMCA of the Okobojis Girl’s Basketball Tournament

5th through 8th Graders are eligible to play!
Three Games Guaranteed!!
Registration Deadline: February 15th
Team Fee: $85

There will be 4 age divisions (5th, 6th, 7th, 8th) to be filled with a maximum of eight teams. Based on the number of registrations the tournament will be run in either a bracket or pool play format. The tournament committee will do its best to guarantee each team 3 games. Brackets/pools for the tournament will be sent out a week prior to the tournament.

To register: Please return the enclosed registration form with the registration fee and roster. Please fill out completely and make checks payable to: The Bedell Family YMCA, 1900 41st St. Spirit Lake, IA 51360. Early registration is important because when the tournament is full, no more teams will be accepted. If you are unsure of your final roster, make a copy and send in your registration with payment, to save your spot. No spots will be reserved without payment. No team will be eligible to compete without a signed waiver/roster.

The purpose of the tournament is to provide an opportunity for girls, parents, families, and coaches to come together for the purpose of helping the youth within our collective communities develop their basketball skills in an exciting tournament format. Our goal is to promote wholesome fun and fellowship while creating a positive experience and fond memories.

Trophies will be awarded to individuals of teams finishing first. Medals will be awarded for individuals finishing second. Rosters will have a maximum of 10 players. Players may play up a grade level, but may not play down a grade level.

All games for 5th – 8th grade will be at the Spirit Lake Community School at 2701 Hill Ave., Spirit Lake, IA 51360.

In the event of a tournament cancelation the YMCA will retain $25.00 of the entry fee to cover costs.

• Rooms will be blocked off at each location
• Standard rooms
• $89 - $129 per night
• All rooms can hold up to 4 individuals
• Must Reserve by February 15, 2010
